What is environmental health?

The goal of environmental health is to forge a symbiotic relationship between you and your environment.  Your environment is an important aspect of your happiness.  You need to create an environment that will enable you to thrive as an individual and stimulate your creativity.  This can be achieved by surrounding yourself with colors that promote a feeling of well-being.  Another way to help you become one with the environment is to have plants in your home or apartment.  This helps to bring a little of the outside in.  Another good way to interact with nature is to start a kitchen herb garden.  Not only will you have fresh herbs for cooking but a pleasant aroma throughout your kitchen.

While it is important to use nature to help with your own sense of happiness, you need to do your part to help protect the environment.  The earth has limited resources. We need to stress the importance of recycling in our environment, at school, home, and at work.  We also need to use products that are made from recycled materials and products that use minimal packaging.  It is important to give back to the earth as it provides us with many things.  Fostering this type of relationship is necessary to ensure the health of our future.
